Synopsis

"The Overlord’s Bridge" surrounds CIA operative Scott Mitchell, recently put on administrative leave over a less than successful mission. He takes his forced leave to heart, even though he has the full support of the other agents from the blown operation.
With time on his hands Scott is recruited by an ex-lover and undercover drug agent in Columbia, Celina, a beautiful Japanese woman, who has lived her entire life in Columbia only to become one of their top undercover DEA agents.
Drawn into an ongoing conflict between her lifelong friends, Hector, Ricky & Eddie Cortez, Hector the family man, Ricky the honest local cop and Eddie a successful Columbian DEA agent himself working in the United States; and Alejandro, who has become a tyrannical drug lord with his own army that controls a mountain top coca farm. Known as “El Vacio”, (the empty one) he has become the most feared man in the mountain region, beyond the reach of local law enforcement, protected by his personal army led by an inner circle of ruthless and talented mercenaries. He controls the entire region by way of extensive payoffs, and bribing of the locals by paying them all to work for him, all of which is paid for by his mountain side cocaine business.
Celina turns to her former lover Scott for help after Alejandro forces her hand by killing Hector Cortez, the civilian brother who just wanted to live a normal life, along with his wife and child.
Scott assembles a crack team of Special Forces and government operatives, all who know Celina or Eddie Cortez from previous ops: His friend and fellow CIA op, the legendary Kempaichi, sniper extraordinaire Delores McDermitt, demolitions expert David “BoomBoom” McCoy, the young but brilliant Hunter Prescott Feldman join Celina, the reckless Eddie Cortez, and the grounded Ricky Cortez. Their personal histories all draw them to each other and the mission, but open old wounds at a time when their focus is essential.
They hatch a plan to take the battle straight to Alejandro’s mountain stronghold to bring down the man’s reign of terror, drug operations and the symbol of his power, the only way in and out of his mountain stronghold, a sturdy wooden structure known to the locals as “the overlord’s bridge.”
